The PDB from August 6th 2001 was declassified yesterday, and surprise surprise it contradicts Dr. Rice's sworn testimony. She said the memo was only "historical information based on old reporting. There was no new threat information." Here's a small quote from the actual document:
FBI information since that time indicates patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings or other types of attacks, including recent surveillance of federal buildings in New York.Preparations for hijackings - sounds like information on a new threat to me. Or new information on a threat - it did say "recent". Parse it however you like, Dr. Rice still testified falsely. I don't think she will be charged with perjury. I do think she is on her way out.
